Did you notice that most NFTs sit in wallets doing nothing? At best, owners sell those during the next hype cycle. That’s why the NFT lego concept, also known as NFT 2.0 generation is on the agenda.

What is NFT2.0 and the lego concept?

The term was introduced by the RMRK network, which writes notes representing each NFT onto blocks on the chain utilizing a concept called “legos” (rather than using complex smart contracts). Similar to the colored bricks, these legos act as building blocks for NFTs buildups to connect to each other, nest, and add to the complexity of the initial NFT layer. These legos can bring more value compared to illiquid PFP JPEGs.

As RMRK works on the Kusama relay chain, it can connect other blockchains, like Ethereum and Bitcoin. Similar to the central chain used by the Polkadot network, Kusama adds up features of each connected chain to the feature set. Why do you care?
